Bollywood and cricket, these are the two most powerful forces that the Indians face everyday in their life. of every child who gets the privilege of apparating (execuse my HP jargon) on this wonderful country, have to eventually choose between the two.
so when a small boy, living in a small town, started to grow up this very right was snatched from him cause he didn't get a chance to choose as cricket chose him. and so like millions others like him he began to first like the game, then love it and eventually start worshiping it.
cricket in small towns is so very different from the game that the boys f metropolitan cities play. here there is no one to teach you a certain shot or a right action. everything we learn is from a single source tat is television. so when by sheer luck if Mr. akram would show what was the correct wrist position for an in swinger he would spent hours bowling like that on a pitch with single stump. so that boy is me. gripped with that immense passion for the game my life started.
it was as simple as this with no big dreams. no dreams like playing for the country and all cause we all knew me and my few friends equally hooked on to the game like me, that dreaming such things was useless. but then our love for the game never diminished. then i started to like bowling for no other reason but the fact that everyone fought for batting and no one cared about bowling so i got the ball right away. slowly i started to like bowling, that running jumping before the crease rolling the fingers everything, and people knew this too. so when a friend would learn how to play a cover drive by seeing kallis doing it on TV, he would ask me and i was gladly there on the field bowling full length deliveries on his toes so that he could perfect the shot.
life was cool ,life was all about cricket and study after dark. cause till the time there was any amount of light present for the ball to be visible we would be playing, or doing catch practice, or practicing throwing on stumps.this all went n till class tenth after which i cam to ranchi for doing 10+2..........
